Audio not working in Windows laptop

If the audio isn't working on your Windows laptop, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check the Volume

Ensure the volume is turned up and not muted. Check both your system volume and the speaker volume.

Click on the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom-right) to adjust the volume.

2. Check Audio Output Device

Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray.
Select Open Sound settings.
Under "Output," make sure the correct playback device (e.g., speakers, headphones) is selected.

3. Restart Audio Services

Press `Windows + R`, type `services.msc`, and hit Enter.
Scroll down to Windows Audio.
Right-click on Windows Audio, then click Restart.

4. Update Audio Drivers

Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
Expand the Sound, video, and game controllers section.
Right-click on your audio device and select Update driver.
Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

5. Check Audio Settings in Control Panel

Type Control Panel in the Start menu and open it.
Go to Sound.
Make sure the correct device is set as default and it is enabled.
Test by right-clicking on the device and selecting Test.

6. Run Windows Troubleshooter

Go to Settings> Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
Select Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix any issues.

7. Reboot Your Laptop

A simple reboot might help reset the audio settings and fix minor glitches.
