Microsoft Edge browser not working

If you're having issues with Microsoft Edge, here are some steps you can take to fix common problems:

1. Update Microsoft Edge

Open Microsoft Edge.
Click on the three dots (ellipsis) in the upper-right corner of the browser.
Select Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge.
Edge will automatically check for updates and install them if available. After the update, restart the browser.

2. Clear Cache and Cookies

Sometimes, issues can be caused by stored data.

Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the browser.
Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
Scroll down to Clear browsing data and click Choose what to clear.
Select Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data, then click Clear now.

3. Disable Extensions

Extensions can sometimes cause issues with performance.

Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.
Select Extensions.
Disable or remove any extensions you suspect may be causing the issue by toggling off or selecting Remove.

4. Reset Settings to Default

If the browser is still not working as expected, you can reset Edge to its default settings.

Open Settings by clicking the three dots in the top-right corner.
Go to Reset settings > Restore settings to their default values.
Click Reset.

5. Run the Microsoft Edge Troubleshooter

Open Settings and go to Update & Security.
Select Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
Find Windows Store Apps and click Run the troubleshooter.
Follow the prompts to fix any issues related to Edge.

If nothing else works, you might need to reinstall Edge.

Uninstall Edge: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features and find Microsoft Edge. Click it and choose Uninstall.
Reinstall Edge: Visit the Microsoft Edge website and download the latest version of the browser.

7. Check for System Updates

Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date, as updates often fix browser-related issues.

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

After following these steps, Microsoft Edge should be working properly again. If problems persist, there could be an issue with your system configuration or a conflict with other software.
